What is Project Dog?

Project Dog is my passion project to capture the stories and personalities of dogs throughout Shropshire!

Whether we met at Apley Woods, Dothill Nature Reserve, one of our local Telford parks, or the Quarry in Shrewsbury, I’m honored to have captured a moment of your dog’s journey.

As a professional dog photographer based in Shropshire, I started this project because of my own furry friends, Harper & Rico. You know those moments when you look at your dog and laugh at something silly they’ve done or think, "Awww, they are so cute!"?

Those are the moments I want to capture for you to keep forever. I understand the profound impact a dog can have on our lives, and I truly love hearing the amazing stories that make your bond so special.

Capturing Pups Across the County of Shropshire

I’m constantly out and about with my camera bag exploring the most dog-friendly corners of our beautiful county. From the open stretches of The Wrekin and the wooded trails of Telford Town Park, to the riverside paths of The Quarry in Shrewsbury and the historic charm of Bridgnorth and Newport, I’m on a mission to document the diverse personalities of Shropshire’s pups.

The Heart of Project Dog: From My Pack to Yours

Rico, a majestic and adventurous black Chow Chow and one of the original scouts for Project Dog in Shropshire.
Harper, a 14 year old Beagle and "Sniffing Queen" who inspired Project Dog, photographed in a Shropshire park by Lesley Notton.
  • The Camera Bag: If you see me out with my gear, don't be shy - come over and say hello!

  • The Rico & Harper Connection: My two beautiful dogs are the real inspiration behind the lens. Rico, my majestic & adventurous black Chow Chow, and Harper, my elderly & mostly deaf but still a "Sniffing Queen" Beagle, are often my scouts! Whether they’re helping me test the perfect morning light or sniffing out the best spots in the long grass for a 'joyous zoom,' they remind me every day why these photos matter so much!

  • Community Stories: Project Dog isn't just about my photography; it’s about sharing the unique impact your dog has on your life with the rest of our Shropshire community.
