Meet Lesley: The Face (and Fellow Dog-Lover) Behind the Lens!

Hi, I’m Lesley, and I’m passionate about capturing the personalities of dogs in their favourite places. Based in Telford, I photograph dogs across the stunning landscapes of Shropshire, from rolling hills and woodland trails to historic ruins and riverside walks.

With me, it’s always relaxed, outdoor photography. I want your dog to feel free, happy, and confident - because that’s when the magic happens!

From Surrey Towns to Shropshire Trails

In 2016, I traded the busy life of Surrey for the rolling landscapes of Shropshire, and I haven’t looked back since. There is something truly magical about this stunning county - whether it's getting lost on a new trail, exploring a National Trust property with my husband and dogs, or finding that perfect quiet viewpoint of an English Heritage site.

I’m usually found with my camera in one hand and a dog lead in the other, likely ending the day at a local Shropshire pub with a seat by the fire and a well-earned lunch!

A Journey 15 Years in the Making

I began my photography journey in 2009, specialising in weddings and portraits for over a decade. After a short break to recharge, the "pull" of the camera became impossible to resist!

In 2026, I returned to my craft with a singular mission: to combine my professional photographic expertise with my lifelong passion for dogs and nature. When you book a session with me, you aren't just getting a photographer; you’re getting 15 years of experience in reading light, timing, and genuine emotion, no matter who the subject is!

Through Project Dog, I celebrate the role dogs play in our lives - the impact, help, joy, companionship, and love they bring.

Each session is not just a photoshoot; it’s a story of your dog, their personality, and the life you share together.

My Philosophy: Paws, Patience, and Personality

I know that not every dog is a "born model!"

Some are shy, some are energetic "zoomie" experts, and others prefer to sniff every single blade of grass before looking at the camera.

At Their Pace: I never force a pose. We go at your dog's speed, making friends first and ensuring they feel safe and happy.
Reading the Room: With almost 40 years experience reading canine body language, I know when to step back and when to capture that perfect, fleeting head-tilt.
The "Secret Weapons": I come prepared with plenty of patience, a deep understanding of dog behaviour, and - of course - high-value treats, toys & encouragement!

The result? Dogs that relax, have fun, and show their true personalities - and owners who get portraits that make them smile every time.
