Our Dog Photography Locations in Shropshire
Outdoor Dog Photographer in Telford & Across Shropshire
Based in Telford, I specialise in outdoor dog photography across Shropshire, capturing dogs exactly as they are - playful, curious, loyal, and full of personality.
Rather than photographing dogs in a studio, I meet you and your dog on location, where they feel happiest! From woodland trails and riverside paths to rolling hills and historic landmarks, Shropshire offers some of the most beautiful backdrops in the country for dog portraits.
Photographing Dogs Across Shropshire
While Telford is my home base, my photography sessions take place throughout the county. This allows you to choose a location that suits your dog’s personality and energy.
I regularly photograph dogs in and around:
Telford
Shrewsbury
Bridgnorth
Newport
Much Wenlock
Market Drayton
Church Stretton
and the wider Shropshire countryside!
Travel within approximately 20 miles of Telford is included at no extra cost. If your favourite location is beyond that, I’m always happy to discuss a custom travel arrangement, please just drop me a message here!
Where We Meet: Logistics Made Simple
I want your session to feel fun and seamless from the start!
Meeting Point: We usually meet at the main entrance or car park of the chosen location.
Finding Me: Once your session is confirmed, I’ll send a Google Maps pin and a photo of the exact spot where I’ll be waiting.
Flexibility: If you have a favourite walking route or special place where your dog feels most comfortable, we can meet there.
This approach ensures your dog is relaxed and free to explore naturally - the perfect environment for authentic portraits!
My Favourite Shropshire Dog Photography Locations:
Here are some of the locations I know and love for their natural light, textures, and dog-friendly trails:
Apley Woods (Telford): Woodland trails, famous tree-lined path, dappled light, and a peaceful forest atmosphere.
Dothill Pools & Nature Reserve: Calm lakeside paths and open grassland, ideal for gentle strolls.
Haughmond Hill & Haughmond Abbey: Dramatic woodland, historic ruins, and sweeping viewpoints.
Telford Town Park: Lakes, gardens, sweeping meadows and wilder wooded corners.
The Wrekin & Ercall Woods: Perfect for adventurous dogs exploring textured, natural landscapes.
The Shropshire Hills (AONB): Rolling hills, big skies, and wide open spaces for cinematic portraits.
If you have a favourite spot not listed here, I’m always happy to photograph your dog there too!
Quick Questions:
Here are some of the locations I know and love for their natural light, textures, and dog-friendly trails:
If your dog has reliable recall, they don’t need to be on a lead - unless livestock is nearby or you prefer to keep them by your side. Either way, I’m skilled at editing leads out in post-production, so your dog will always be safe and still look free and majestic in every portrait.
Shropshire weather is unpredictable! For light rain we carry on, but if it’s a heavy downpour, we reschedule at no extra cost.
Absolutely. Special locations often create the most meaningful images, and I’m happy to meet you wherever you and your dog feels happiest.
Part of the Local Dog Community
