Natural Outdoor Dog Photography Experience in Shropshire

From Shropshire Trails to Heartfelt Memories

Your dog is one-of-a-kind, and their portraits should reflect exactly that. Forget stiff poses or stressful studio lights!

My sessions feel just like your favourite Sunday morning walk: relaxed, fun, and full of sniffs. Whether your pup is a "zoomie" champion, a shy rescue, or a gentle senior, I capture the authentic moments that make your bond so special.

Based in Telford, I travel across the most beautiful landscapes in Shropshire, using natural light and 15 years of professional expertise to create portraits that feel exactly like your dog - relaxed, real, and full of life.

Your Journey: From "Save the Date" to the Reveal

1. The Planning Stage

Once you’ve booked your date with me, the adventure begins!

You’ll receive a Bespoke Session Guide and a short questionnaire to tell me all about your dog: their quirks, favourite treats, and any "triggers" I should know about.

Together, we’ll choose a location in Shropshire - from the woodland dappled light of Apley Woods to the sweeping views of The Wrekin - that perfectly suits your dog’s energy.

2. The Big Adventure (Your Session)

We meet at our chosen "sniff-spot" (usually the main entrance or car park) and spend 60–90 minutes exploring at your dog’s pace. I focus on making friends first, capturing genuine expressions, and going wherever the moment takes us.

Humans Are Welcome Too: You don't have to stay behind the scenes. Whether it’s a quiet connection or a joyous run together, including you in the frame makes these memories truly complete.

3. The Artistry & Hand-Editing

Within one week, you’ll receive a private online gallery to relive the adventure from the comfort of your home. From here, you can choose your included digital portrait or invest in one of my curated collections.

4. The Private Gallery Reveal

Back in the studio, I hand-edit your 20+ best portraits, enhancing the natural Shropshire light. Leads and collars are expertly removed in post-production, so your dog looks free and majestic while their safety is never compromised during the shoot.

Common Questions

Can I bring more than one dog?

Absolutely! I love a pack! My session fee covers up to two dogs from the same household. If you have a larger family, just let me know, and we can discuss a small additional fee to ensure everyone gets their moment in the spotlight! Please also ensure you have enough humans with you to look after the other dog(s) while a dog is being photographed - we'll do both individual and group photos!

My dog can’t be off-lead - is that okay?

Absolutely! Safety comes first. Most dogs in my portfolio were actually on a lead. I use high-end retouching to make the lead "disappear" so they look free and majestic in your final images.

My dog won’t sit still for photos!

No problem! I love capturing energy in motion. My 2026 gear is designed to freeze even the fastest "zoomies" in crisp, clear detail. We don't need them to sit; we just need them to be themselves.

What if it rains?

This is Shropshire - we embrace the atmosphere! However, if it’s a heavy downpour, we simply reschedule to the next clear day at no extra cost to you.

How far do you travel?

Free travel is included within 20 miles of Telford. I regularly photograph pups in Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Newport, and Market Drayton. A 45p/mile fee applies for adventures further afield.

My dog is reactive or very nervous, can we still do a session?

Yes! We’ll choose a quieter, 'low-traffic' Shropshire location and use long lenses so I can stay out of your dog’s personal space. I work entirely at their pace and we can also choose a quieter time of day too. Please let me know in your questionnaire if they are reactive to strangers, other dogs, or anything else so I can ensure they are safe and happy during their photo shoot!

Can the humans be in the photos, too?

I highly encourage it! While the focus is on your dog, the bond you share is a huge part of the story and you are the most important thing in the world to your dog. Whether you want a formal portrait or just some candid 'walkies' shots of you together, I’ll make sure you look as natural and relaxed as your pup.

Do I get the copyright to the images?

You receive a Personal Usage License with all your digital images. This means you can print them as many times as you like, share them with family, and post them on social media. I retain the copyright as the creator, but the memories are yours to keep and display forever.
